Quick answer
A GloriaFood alternative needs to replace the work your restaurant actually uses: menu display, ordering, payments or reservations. Menujo covers display menus. Free includes one menu with up to 50 items across 10 categories; Pro is $7/month or $70/year for up to 10 menus and 250 items per menu. Guests read the menu and order through your staff.
GloriaFood and Oracle currently publish different service-end dates. Plan the replacement before the earlier date and ask support to confirm your account-specific arrangements. This comparison is written by Menujo founder Ahmad Tayyem using public sources, not a hands-on test of rival platforms. See our editorial policy.
The official notices disagree
Checked October 10, 2026: the GloriaFood notice gives April 30, 2027 as end of life. The Oracle food and beverage page gives March 31, 2027 as full end of service. Oracle's linked EOL FAQ gives April 30. Ask support to confirm your account dates because the public notices conflict.
Plan the transition before the earlier published date as a precaution, with time to test your replacement. Confirm data retrieval and billing arrangements with support and save accessible records while normal access works. The shutdown guide records the detailed notices and account questions.
Choose the replacement scope first
Write down how an order reaches the kitchen today. If guests browse, speak to staff and pay at the counter, a display menu can cover the guest-facing menu. If they submit a cart, pay online, book a table or trigger a kitchen ticket, those are separate workflows. Moving the menu alone does not replace them.
GloriaFood still describes online ordering and reservations on its product page. Its pricing page separates the free core from optional paid services. Check your own active modules and invoices instead of comparing every optional module with a display-only subscription.
Menu display and ordering are different jobs
| Decision | Menujo | GloriaFood / replacement check |
|---|---|---|
| Guest reads items, prices and photos | Display menu with staff taking orders | Record the menu and any ordering steps separately |
| Cart, online checkout and order tickets | Not included | Test these with an ordering replacement if used |
| Small display menu | Free: 1 menu, 50 items, 10 categories | Compare actual ongoing bills and required services |
| Larger display menu or spreadsheet import | Pro: $7/month or $70/year; 250 items per menu | Verify importer/exporter behavior before committing |
| Menu analytics | 7 / 60 / 90 days on Free / Pro / Business | Keep historical reports separately if needed |
What a Menujo move changes
Menujo hosts the menu at a link such as menujo.com/@your-restaurant. Updating item content at that same destination preserves a printed static QR. Photos, prices and dietary tags belong to the display workflow; they do not create a cart or process payments. Read current plan limits and try the setup walkthrough before replacing customer-facing materials.
A new Menujo URL is different from an old GloriaFood URL. A printed QR that directly encodes the old address needs replacement. If you control an intermediate redirect or your own website URL, you may be able to change its destination instead. Decode and test the actual code before deciding.
Move a display menu without losing the operational checks
Inventory the workflows
List menu display, order intake, payment handling, reservations and links. Mark which jobs need a separate replacement. Do not cancel an active service at this stage.
Save the records you need
Collect your menu text, prices and original photos. Ask GloriaFood support what exports or account-access arrangements apply. Preserve necessary order or accounting records according to your obligations; avoid transferring customer data into a menu spreadsheet.
Prepare and build the menu
For a small menu, enter items on Menujo Free. Pro and Business support spreadsheet import. Prepare the supported CSV fields and add photos separately. Review categories, prices, allergens and availability before publishing.
Test the guest journey
Open the new menu on two phones, including mobile data. Check long names, photos and category navigation. Staff should rehearse how guests order and pay. If you also need online ordering, test that separate system end to end.
Replace the old destinations
Update table codes, your website, profile links and printed materials. Keep a list of every placement. Scan the physical print, not only the on-screen QR, and retain a paper fallback.
Retire the old workflow after verification
Choose a cutover window outside your busy service. Keep overlap long enough to verify your own placements and staff process; there is no universal two-week requirement. Confirm outstanding payments, bookings and record access before cancelling anything.
Compare the full cost of the job
For Menujo display menus, Free is $0, Pro is $7 billed monthly or $70 billed annually, and Business is $12/month or $120/year. These prices do not buy online ordering. A comparison with an ordering service needs its subscription, processing, hardware, required modules and migration effort listed separately.
Write your current cost beside the cost of the replacement workflows you actually need. Do not count unused add-ons, assume all free plans have the same scope or treat estimated staff time as a vendor fee. Our printing-cost guide shows how to separate cash and labor assumptions.
Questions to take to an ordering provider
- Can it accept your order types and payment methods in your country?
- What are the order, location and user limits on the quoted plan?
- Are processing, delivery, hardware or marketing modules separate charges?
- Can you extract the menu and the records you need later?
- What happens to your printed URLs if you leave?
Use the comparison hub and platform scope guide for further research, then verify the current vendor quote. A source-based comparison is not proof that a particular integration will work for your restaurant.
Questions about this workflow
Does Menujo replace GloriaFood ordering?
Menujo replaces the display menu. It does not accept orders, take payments or manage reservations. Keep or choose separate systems for those jobs if your operation needs them.
Which GloriaFood shutdown date should I use?
The two official notices currently disagree. Finish the migration before the earlier March 31, 2027 date as a precaution and ask GloriaFood support to confirm your account arrangements. The linked shutdown guide records both notices.
Will my GloriaFood records be deleted?
The linked closure guide records Oracle's published retrieval window. Confirm your account deadline and retrieval method with support. A retrieval window does not establish indefinite access or a guaranteed deletion date.
Can I keep the same printed QR?
Only if you control the encoded destination or a redirect in front of it. A code that directly opens an old provider URL cannot be retargeted by editing its image. Decode a sample first.
What is free on Menujo?
One menu with up to 50 items across 10 categories, photos, dietary tags and seven days of menu-view analytics. Spreadsheet import requires Pro or Business. See pricing for the complete limits.
How long will moving take?
That depends on item count, photo preparation and the ordering/payment workflows involved. Test a small sample first, then estimate the remaining work from that result rather than relying on a universal hourly estimate.
